The result of a trip to my localish dealer,Cannon,Chelmsford.
I made an appointment to get my abs system checked out,the lights flashing alternately immediately on turning the key,the BMW staff informed me of a genuine fault recognised by the electronic management causing the unit to shut down, apparently the abs sensor had detected a fault, the sensor was checked on saturday on the bmw diagnostic equipment but on inspection the abs sensor was perfectly ok.
The advice was to see how it goes, the sensor may be faulty.....

cost £23.00

Just a note to say the bike had two fuses blow, both 7amp,on the week leading up to the abs problem.

They are my local dealer and wont get another penny of my money.
Go to Vines in Guildford, they have 5 of the UKs 11 specialist BMW Motorrad engineers.

And theyre also bloody nice people.

Cheers Stumpi,i'll check em out.

Just a note of interest, there was a group of GS riders coming out of a field onto the A127 southend on sea bound, they waved and a bit later in the traffic flew past, they had been off road and were covered in mud,i thought i'd like to try it with like minded individuals.

Are there any GS riders doing this around the Essex area?

And for bonus points make up a sentence with the words

hairyone

mud plugging

and the boys without it sounding rather rude:hapybnce:

Excellent pictures, the sort of thing i am thinking of on my adventure!!

The remark about bevel box breather pipe refers to?

Also, did it balls up your engine oil/ engine?

Reality now,are they ok to do that type of ride without altering anything that's likely to go t*ts up?

Hey Stumpi
Where are the other 6?
Under the Freedom of Information Act, I'd like to know. Maybe they could have a look at my Servo Unit.
