So have ABS fault light on my 2000 1150GS. When I put a LED on the diagnostic socket it was coming up with 4 flashes - rear ABS sensor, which made sense as I had been messing around with the rear end so thought I might have damaged it somehow. Long story short, I've tried 3 used replacements from James Sherlock and fault persists. I've tried resetting the fault and it remains.

However, its now not doing any sort of recognisable sequence on the LED, sometimes remains on, sometimes double flashes and sometimes single flashes! I have taken it to a local BMW dealership, they tried reading the code, but said it wasn't "talking to their reader".

Any ideas?

Yes remove it the ABS unit you will not regret it you can actually feel more in control, decent brake lines stainless braided try mine if you like.

Can't help with that I'm afraid. Anyone nearby with a GS-911?
No need to remove the ABS as it's pre-servo and the brakes work regardless of the fault.

2000 bike has the non servo abs so feels fine, its only the servo bikes 2003 onwards that were shite.
