ABS modulator relay

ABS has always been a bit odd on this bike, thought it was the battery so used to start with the ABS disabled and wait for it to auto reset a few miles down the road.

Having changed the battery it will not set on ignition (not started) and will not reset on grounding the pin etc... No "K-Klunk" on pulling away etc and 6 flashes on the diagnostic to an LED...

I've bled the system including the ABS pump and stripped/cleaned the modulator pistons so it is looking like the big relay is kaput in the modulator.

Does anyone have a spare or know if it is available as a generic item, as BMW don't sell it (mind you Bahnstormer in Maidenhead could not find dash bulbs on their system ) and motorworks are not sure if they have one either.

What year is your bike? R1150GS ?

Number 5 for 1999 -2002 bikes.

Bike is a W reg so 2000

Cheers, it's not a plug in type but a relay with bolt tags, more like a starter solenoid...

Here's the little devil...

That base is not a socket for the relay, but a support for the tags and even has a diode running through a hole through the housing.
