Hello everyone
I took a GS1200 out for a test ride yesterday as I was thinking of trading up from my trusty F650 Dakar. The weather was atroci, atrosi, atrus ---- Crap with heavy rain and I manged to do a good turn by helping a couple of motorist who hand met on a corner and rearranged the front of thier vehicles (the milk tanker beat the Peogeot!!). Then came the problem of negotiating all the diesel and hydrolic fluid that had been spilt which the GS handled very well. Anyway an hour or so later I was sold so it was just a question of choosing the extra's.
Thing is do I go for ABS or not. I thought it came as standard but the dealer said that from next year it won't be. Is it worth the extra as my Dakar doesn't have it.
Also why do you always have to order BMW's. Most other manufactures seem to be able to get the supply and demand thing at lot better. I've got to wait until March for mine!!
