... the battery on my '05 1150GSA thank you Chad), went for the OEM replacement on the basis that the first one has lasted 6 years, so why shouldn't the second![]()

As you'll see from other similar posts as the winter hibernators emerge to find they have duff batteries, the Odyssey is a good battery (I have one, fitted in 2004 and still going strong). However, it is expensive compared to similar offerings from other suppliers. Best bet is to get a Westo AGM battery from www.tayna.co.uk or the Exide gel battery (as sold by BMW as a replacement for the R1150GS) from http://www.motorworks.co.uk/vlive/Shop/Parts.php?T=5&NU=15&M=30&Ct=IA&SbCt=BA_15_30_IA_10 or http://www.motobins.co.uk/bmw-parts.php?model=R850 R1100 R1150
They will cost about £70 plus delivery. A wet, lead acid battery can be had for less money, probably about £55 plus delivery. I'd pay the extra £15. YMMV.

how much did you pay and where did you get it![]()

... but I was in a rush and decided at short notice to change it; given time I'd probably have gone with Motorworks. Any of the quoted replacements will contain enough ooomphs to sort your ABS![]()
