Hi,

I've read this thread http://http://www.ukgser.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21074&highlight=reset+ABS which enabled me to reset the ABS OK.

I've checked the micro-switch in the footbrake, seems to be working OK (clicks open and shut)

I've changed the front ABS sensor since an accident a few weeks ago - shimmed it up so that it is draggy at the minimum gap, 0.45

And STILL the ABS will not reset (usual clunk) when I start off - the lights keep blinking alternately.

Anything else I could try before taking to local garage?

Cheers:beerjug:

Bum!

I've done some more diggin' - and my local BMW dealer has supplied me with the wrong part!!!

Now, here's a queston.

I was not given the option of 2 possible parts when I ordered, which (I know, I know - Stupidly on my part) led me to believe I had the right part - even though I did notice that the part was a different shape to the one I took off!

Do I push them to fit the right part, it a tank-off job and took me about an hour to do it, or should I just go whistle at my foolishness!??

Humble Pie

I know this thread is me on my Jack Jones, but I thought I'd put an update on.

After some more shaking of the gray matter, I realised I WAS given a choice of part, and I made the wrong one!

I am a recovering Muppet!:thumb
