Ok part 2, I’ve hit it, swore at it,and bled the system with my Motoscan it freed it twice but that was my lot, does anyone know what Ford ABS unit fit’s please, Cheers Baza
My new to me ‘09 plate 1300GT has bricked its ABS pump - I’m consistently getting the 24048 pump motor defective and 24049 power supply to pump motor faulty codes.
I’ve tried hitting it with a hammer (srsly) and was quite motivated while doing so. But that hasn’t fixed it.
I recall there was a place that could repair the ABS unit, does that ring any bells with the cognoscenti?
Thanks for the reply and the link, some great info there, wether I could do it is another thing, there’s some great home mechanics on here, last couple of questions, as the brake failure light has been on for years, and the small amount of miles I do,ie under 2k a year, dyou think it’s worth doing,
Had the Motoscan app on it yesterday and in the trouble codes these numbers came up
Pump Motor Voltage Supply
5DFO
5DF1
I’ve Googled it but not to sure what the fix would be
Thanks again for your input
Cheers Baza
Cheers botus, so what and where is the Ground Cable
Also I’m thinking of going down the new brushes route, do I have to fit a new bearing,as I’ve got no puller
Cheers Baza

Baza Just change the feckin Motor!!!, you have to split it to get at the Brushes anyway !!
Never mind feckin Ground straps and the schite that Balloon comes off with!!
I have no idea why the brushes stick or fail But the motor just does and the brakes with the Fiesta Motor were soooo much better When "Needed"
You have to take it out to do any work! So just make sure and seal the lines from debris and dust while you are at it Old brake nut will likely be in the replacement ABS block as no one will likely just sell you the motor so you can seal the Bike ABS unit from dirt and debris ingress too
