The big difference for me was that I wasn't tacho watching to make sure it didn't drop below 3000rpm. i was just ridng the bike and before it was jerky and I watched the tacho. Money well spent.

So fitted my module, found it smoothed out the bike enornously, fitted winglets and ergo screen, so no buffeting and no wind pressure....spotted the problem yet? I'm piling into corners too fast 'cos of the smooth engine and lack of wind pressure, bugger!

The module has done wonders for the 12s rideablilty, so I'll probably go back to a cut down screen so I can gauge speed better

re: insurance... good point.. give 'em a call, see what they say and report back....
Are you meant to tell your insurers about fitting this? Has anyone had any changes to their premium or is it all a bit "..oh I never knew that was fitted!"

Someone phone their insurers and tell them that they have bought a 29Euro non-CE approved device from a non-approved BMW aftermarket accessory supplier that basically 'just' changes the fuel ratios and that they needn't worry about potential engine seizures, richer mixtures and the fact that BMW would probably wriggle out of any subsequent warranty claims.....

Balders.... I suppose I've made the mistake of fitting the module straight away (Kid ...toy shop ...) rather than putting some thought into it and doing a before after thing.
I deliberately had a crawl around Canterbury city centre in the traffic, my bike seems very smooth and i'm certainly filtering / rolling up to lights / junctions in second easily enough at walking pace. But wasn't it doing that before??!! The 2010 motor was billed as being smother at low revs, and for a big twin (bearing in mind i spend all day on a '58 1200 RT) it is a much smoother bike. I can't be arsed now!, but what I should have done is to have left the module dangling out the side of the tank panel and taken it off, put it back on ... etc.
For £30, give it a go (and be a bit more thoughtful about it than i have been!), but I'm not exactly sitting here writing Wow.... What a difference....

I'd be impressed if any insurance assessor could spot it once fitted
Just taken mine OFF the bike today.
I fitted in December but been out of contract and therefore not used in anger until Feb - so 2 - 3 months now and 4350miles or so........I've noticed the MPG being an average 35 over that time (25 fill ups) but then my commute had riding has gone even more over to high-speed motorway. Has probably cost 3mpg ? (obviously very rough estimate)
I'll see how I get on over the next month or so.
Figures might be slightly affected my slight reduction in riding speed following 'chat' with Cheshire Police on the M6 Tuesday morning.......hiding in a unmarked black BMW in traffic........cheater....

Mine shows no real difference in MPG before/after fitting. Riding style has more effect on the MPG.
Really the tank is too small to cope with the margin of error when trying to do identical "fill to brim" refills

Why buy a 1200cc bike and worry about fuel consumption

My Accelerator turned up in the post yesterday, fitted it in ten minutes this morning and went for a quick test ride.
Best 30 quid I've ever spent on a motorcycle in over 30 years. On other bikes I've had to resort to new cans, power commanders and loads of dyno time to get even close to an improvement like this.
I can now ride the bike without spending half my time looking at the revs. Before I was always having to make a decision between low down torque or high up Horse power. Now everything is smoothed out and the bike transfers from one to the other in a far more seamless way.
Seat of the pants dyno says there's no increase in overall power in fact initially I thought there may be less but on reflection I think it's because the peaks and troughs in the power band are all smoothed out and as a consequence the change to the top end rush is less dramatic
Just pray now it doesn't have any long term bad effects.

And don't forget to tell them that you've fitted a non BMW mudslinger and put some grip puppies on...........and put more air in your tyres.......AND used different oil...............

I'm still creaming my jeans over the improvement. Makes a really disappointing bike great for me. Did Monmouth, Chepstow route this morning, cracking bike. Gonna leave most riders for dead on the twisty stuff unless their ex-racers/track day experts. I love the GS. Done more riding in last month than all last year, so enjoyable. Biking is fun again

Just got two in the post, put one on the 2006 GS this morning, much smoother off the throttle.
