Every time I accelerate hard in first gear my GSA will raise her head (if I switch the ASC off). And that was before I fitted the module.

The wheelies could be due mine having the optional Enduro gear box??, because my previous GS’s did take a bit of effort to wheelie.

Anyhow, with the Acc. fitted, me GSA also comes up in second gear when I nail the throttle. So I have to be very careful with full luggage and/or SWIMBO on the back (I always keep the ASC on then).

Oi loves my GSA oi does.

That'll be it then - different gearbox - shorter first gear! Mines the standard gearbox and if I tried to wheelie mine this is what i'd end up doing...

Booster plug

As you know I decided to go with the booster plug and I will of course post my appraisal after testing it out in out in Sydney's extremely hot summer. Just to note there has been a change in the design of the air temperature sensor. Looks good

Hi guys,

I have read most, if not all, the threads on these modules, still can't get my head around whether I should get one for the Megamoto or not.

One question I've got that as yet hasn't been covered, or even raised,....is the module needed if you use Premium unleaded fuel ?

Simple question, may not even be relavent, but has been in my mind for a few weeks now, can anyone help with an answer ?

All premium fuel would do is allow the ignition timing to be optimised better I.E you wont get knock so easy so the engine management wouldn't retard the ignition so often if at all. The fuelling is the same whether its standard or premium you put in so if the modules work on standard they will do the same on premium.

Don’t forget to let us know how the plug performs when you’ve had opportunity to give it a good road test.

Hi all,

Just fitted the "Little Magic Cable", I'm no expert and I know that the weather isn't as warm as it should be to get the best results but it DOES feel smoother during gear change, especially from first to second, no more "jerking" or hesitation, it's now nice and smooth...

Incidently, immediately after fitting said item (which was a real piece of cake by the way!!!) my left indicator switch stopped working, the red "Warning" triangle lit up static, as well as the oil warning....

After a good 40 to 50 miles, as I was pressing the "Info" button the oil and red triangle warnings disappeared, but the left indicator switch is still playing up...

Nothing major but very strange...

Has anyone had any weird electrical activity after installing???

Nope. No electrical issues here. Not heard of any others either.
Fuel consumption is a bit erratic in these low temps tho.

I fitted mine at the weekend. It's going to be a little while before I can give you comparisons as I havent ridden my bike on a commute for 9weeks or so and it's been serviced since then also. Is it me or when a bikes serviced it feels just 'better' - I'm convinced there's a little screw they twist that just 'tightens' the whole bike and make it feel nicer to ride !

I had an hour's ride on it Sunday and another hour on Monday - it did seem to pull better than before.

I'll post back here when I'm back in contract and commuting again.

BTW - for those owners that have already fitted the cable, do you remove it at service time ? When the bikes out of warranty I wont worry, but whilst it IS under BMW warranty then I dont really want to give them the slightest opportunity to get out of a pay-out !

I have had the Acclerator fitted for a couple of months now. Rode in to work yesterday (48 miles M5 and M4) for the first time in fours weeks. Great ride in.

However it was the ride home that astounded me. The bike was super smooth, acceleration was great, it was a totally different machine. I began to think the Accelerator module actually improved with use.

It was only when I turned onto the M5 southbound athat I realised why. Bloody easterly wind was behind me along the M4. Doh!

Hi,

The module doesn't interact with the general electrics. So there is no influence of the module with the left indicator switch.

Don't get me wrong, I am so far VERY happy with the item, it must be some freak coincidence, my bike's not perfect, I guess I'll wait and see if the "gremlin" disappears...

So, has anyone fitted one of these where the bike was completely stock beforehand (headers, cat, can and air filter)?

My 56 GSA is stock.

I'll update regarding the average mile-per-gallon, I have always written down the volume of fuel, what kind and the mileage, every time I fill up.

I'll see if there is a noticeable difference, one way or another.
