Accelerator Module

Hi,
I am thinking of getting the module to smooth out the low end, slow speed snatchy throttle response.
My question is to all who have on e fitted on the first 1200gs is does it really work?
I currently have the original exhaust can on but am switching to an aftermarket can as I feel it may help with this being able to breathe a little better.

Those that have fitted them say it works well. Ive bought one for my new bike but dont know if i will need it, time will tell. I will wait till after first service before i decide

I have just swapped my 2008 bike for a 2011. I am not sure if my Acc Module from the 2008 will work the same with the 2011. Nonetheless - I found it made a difference but not the earth-moving difference that some on here say they found. But for 30-odd quid you cant expect too much.

Have a read through this. http://www.ukgser.com/forums/showthread.php?210687-Accelerator-Module/page45 . I fitted one to my 2010 twin cam. The difference is not massive, however it does smooth out the transition from closed to light throttle opening. This is more evident in town traffic. My mate wanted to try mine on his. It was only when I rode it without that I really noticed the difference it makes. Straight back on with it!

it was the very slow 10 to 30 mph traffic speed I want to smooth out, I went out last night with my Son who has just passed his CBT this weekend and I struggled riding really slow.

Yes, as others have said. the Acc. Mod, will at least improve low speed stuff on the TC GS's.

I had one fitted to my 09 GSA for 25,000 miles, and it did an excellent job throughout the rev range.

I have not fitted it to my new TC GSA yet, but i shall do when i have a spare 10mins..

Removed mine yesterday after twelve months use. I can't tell any difference so in the interest of fuel economy it's staying off.

I've had one on my GSA for a couple of years now, not a great change make's the bike feel more like a Landrover less like a Tractor!. Also ups the MPG.

I removed my accelerator module when I noticed how black & sooty my silencer pipe had become, I don't like the thought of the engine internals being so dirty so I removed the module and the pipe has become clean looking again.

Scratch that

Removed mine yesterday after twelve months use. I can't tell any difference so in the interest of fuel economy it's staying off.

Scratch all of the above, it would seem it took a couple of hours riding and the ECU had re-learned it old ways and had lost it's edge.
It is now back on

module's resin melted

Hi all just went over my bike the other day after getting it back from our trip to Europe and found that the resin in the module had melted and run down the side of the frame. So wiped it off as not sure whats going on there. Heat from somewhere or itself.

pros and cons of this gizmo

is it possible someone could tell me how this gizmo works please,how does it richen the mixture,is this a good thing ,how do you get more mpg when fitted,also am i correct in thinking all the gs,s that have dropped a valve is due to running to lean.

Quick answer. It fools the air temperate sensor into thinking its 20c cooler. Whereby the ECU makes the fueling a bit richer.
Simple, yet effective at smoothing power delivery.
