ST2 brake module

Hi, I am thinking about fitting one of these units, especially as my 1250 has such good engine braking. It's always at the back of my kind that closing the throttle quickly in heavy traffic is asking for a car up my butt! If I remember, I will touch one of the brakes to bring on the brake light, but in the heat of the moment, often forget!
Does anyone have experience of the ST2 brake module and if so how easy to fit?
I believe it has to be mounted on a flat horizontal surface, not many of these available on my GS and room is tight under the seats.

Hi Pete, module gets mixed reviews on Trustpilot. Just touch the brakes to trigger the light if anybody is behind.
