Accelerator on NEW 2010 GSA

Hi guys, its a shame these posts sometimes have to degenerate rather than staying with the original posters topic. I have revcently removed several of my posts for this reason. I dont understand why sometimes so many just 'have to have an opinion' Yes this is also my view, guilty as charged. I suppose somebody will want to make something of it. Ho Hum, sticks and stones and all that!

Thanks for reading, Sorry I couldnt contribute directly to the original post.

So did anyone do it? Does it work on the 2010?

Bloody hell, what a lot of off topic waffle.

In answer to the original question, I have a 2010 R1200RT, bought in last May. I rode it for 1500 miles stock and wondered how much better it could get, but when the most you can lose is £20 then its got to be worth a try.

Very glad I did, the Accelerator module has nicely filled in a bit of a dip in the standard power curve at around 4000rpm, and it runs very powerfully through the whole rev range now.

Before 54mpg, now 53mpg. ie Such a small difference that I'm not bothered at all. I removed it for the 6000 mile service and the dip at 4000 returned, albeit not as noticeable as it was when new, maybe running it in has improved things a bit, but when I refitted the module the bike was better again.

Okay, so my A Module for 2010 GS arrived last week. I worked out fuel consumption prior to (manual and using onboard comp~). On board comp is never the same as manual and manual works out around 3MPG less - both urban and Motor Way. Bless. Anyhow, after my irregular acceleration and the BMW dealers re synching my bike (something like that I am told) and the GS running wicked and Loud again. Yes there is the odd jerk on the edge of 2nd or at low speed in third. My control going around mini roundabouts between the houses (you knoew those that are actually never easy - the ones where it is inevitable you will swan neck a bit -UNLESS YOU FEATHER CLUTCH-and it is a dry clutch hence couldmoney if you do this - as i understand). Anyhow at slow speed in 2nd, it can lead to a jerk as you come out of final bend. So I installed AM easy as and bike seemed to run smooth and easier to ride last night. Just a small run down slow roads as this is my main priority for getting the AM. Yes i noticed a difference. Yes it appeared my bike was smoother but no eureka moment leaped at me. Today I did the usual commute through crappy traffic to work and maybe i was feeling it because i knew it was there. Not sure. Bike did sound quieter though and snother in 3rd. Overrun also led me to think maybe i was breaking more? Anyhow,m all well but on return journey this pm, bike sounded like it was on verge of cutting out when standing still at lights. Revs were still around or just below 1200 mark but there was a definite cycle of up and around the 1200RPM. it never actually cut out but at times it really felt like it wanted to splutter (esp when the bike is warm). I resorted to giving it a blip to make sure i took off without staling when pulling off, BUT this is exactly what i want to avoid so I will monitor closely over a few days to see if it's me or the AM. But I must say at the mo, i think the AM is going to be taken off. But I will have to review it for a little longer. Feedback welcomed.

You have a GS man, why on earth are you going round mini roundabouts?
