Im wanting to use a PMR radio on the bike, just put it under the rear seat and forget about it. we only use one channel so I have no need to want to access the radio .
I have taken the connector of the rear socket and put a new socket onto that lead. This is now "inside " the rear carrier .To this I have added a Din to car type cigarette lead and inserted the pushed in eliminator battery connector.
when i turn the ignition on it all powers up and works.
My issue is when i turn the ignition off the radio and leads are still live,( the lead has a green power on light which stays illuminated ) this will be draining my battery ?
I am aware the sockets still hold power for 15 mins or so after the ignition has gone off but mine is staying on all the time.
Any one any suggestions, As to how I can place the PMR under the seat and forget about it , I need it to just power up when the ignition is turned on!
Thanks in advance
