ACF 50 - just how good is it?

Both these parts have been subjected to the same conditions - that's 2 weeks in a warm steamy atmosphere. The steam being generated by a solution of caustic soda.

Don't want to piss on your chips but caustic soda (NaOH + NaCl) is just several times more aggresive as a corrosion agent than you're likely to find in a thousand years road riding!

Right, now coat the rusty one with ACF-50 & put it back into the nasty steam, then show it to us again in another 2wks. It'd be nice to see what difference it makes, to coat something which has already suffered from rusting.

I like the stuff - it seems to do a good job on my rarely cleaned bike.
