Thanks for that. Givi seem to recommend a professional fitter? or were you able to do the install yourself?

I will pass on your kind regards to all, probably Wednesday evening, RR hardly gets out now with all his grandparenting duties.Next time you see them tell them i was asking for them

I remember the morning i did my NO assessment i was bricking it, couldnt sleep the night before, and was up half the night sick with worry. My assessment was 10am i think and at about 9.15 am i got a text from RR that just said, remember you do this because you want to, not because you have too. I've never forgotten that, and it settled my nerves down no end.I will pass on your kind regards to all, probably Wednesday evening, RR hardly gets out now with all his grandparenting duties.
One of the good guys, an amazing rider and patient too, even if he always blamed me for everything.

Always helps if you know where you're finishing and have a sense of direction.Everybody take a step back.....Riding God in the room!![]()

Change isn't always an improvement.

In the old days, I would phone Mr Rogers if I required clarity on something or Dave Shenton too, always friendly helpful and thoughtful. No your correct. RRs replacement Mick was excellent but they stabbed him in the back. When i heard what had happened I immediately emailed HQ and resigned forthwith. Even our local examiner resigned a few months later. Its gone to pot with its drive to make money, and in my opinion has lost its way on what its supposed to be about.

How can it take you just 10min?!

How can it take you just 10min?!
When I do mine, which includes covering the wheels and brake discs/calipers - then at the end touching up the spoke nipples with a brush, it's well over an hour
I use a compressor with a paraffin atomiser and I make sure is going EVERYWHERE...

How much do you charge?I dont do the wheels, however i do do down the headstock area and up under the plastics. I use a small compressor and a HVLP spraygun which has a regulator in it. Got it set to atomize the liquid. I can do the bike with less than half a cupfull and thats going over some places twice just to empty the gun. Its how i did my previous GSA and it went away in mint condition after 3 and a half years. Dont know but thats how i do it and it works for me.![]()

I agree. The spraying bit takes 5-6 min. Is the masking up that takes all the time.I spent ages making covers that fit over the wheels and clocks, wasn't much on the tv that night, and like Derek just spray away doesn't take long to do.

More than any of us can afford, how do you think he can get all that bling on his bike. How much do you charge?
I was converted to using ACF50 on buying my Twin Cam, which was already in mint condition (because of ACF50). I'm pleased to say it still l cleans up like new and that's after me using it all winter and the bike is 8yrs old now. I really rate the ACF50.

I made them out of some old canvas sails I had in my shed of plenty.I agree. The spraying bit takes 5-6 min. Is the masking up that takes all the time.
I did once get some ACF50 finger prints onto the front discs and ended up with pulsing brakes. So now I go to a lot of trouble to avoid that.

Its simple really, dont tell the missus and get the bling delivered to a different address......simples![]()

There was a time when I worked from home....that worked too, I just had to time my orders to arrive Monday to Friday....
I've used ACF50 in the past and found it attracted the dirt and come the spring was a PITA to get off so I'd be interested to know if you think I was putting it on too thick/how much do you spray on and do you clean it off/need to clean it off after the winter and if so what do you use?
I too have a HVLP gun and a regulator so what pressure do you set yours to please as I've still got plenty left and would use it again if my issues are just down to poor application on my part?![]()
