Ok changed all the brake pads and every thing pretty tickity boo !
So then I thought I would adjust the rear brake peddle as it was always a long reach before it became active.
(Only used when doing a U turn or steep decent) done 30 odd miles since, bedding the pads in, All fine but today it felt sluggish and by the time I'd stopped the rear caliper was smokin and locked on... Fudge! Think I've cooked the fluid and the disc looks fooked as do the new HH sintered rear pads.....
Soooo now I've backed off the master cylinder rod and freed up the brake all back working but it's gonna cost me a new disc and pads again...
Back to the point, the ASC light is constantly on and my Motor scan won't or can't find any fault codes...
Bugger! Any one else had this issue and know a cure?
2016 Tripple Black LC.
TIA.

Check the sensor is clean & the read off point too. Also, check the clearance is the right the whole way round.

You probably need new senso or cable. Mate something similar and needed a whole bunch of new parts

This is the light thats constantly on now.

One point for you is that even later 1250s also suffer from rear brakes needing to be bled more often and feeling spongy (seems to be a trait of dual braking/abs systems)

Have you actually ridden it since the light has come on??

Mmm sounds like something else is the issue if its not dual braking anymore

Like someone has already mentioned maybe a sensor is kaput

Yup the rear caliper was propper cooked! thought the seals must have melted but once it cooled down back working and no fluid leaks.... It was pouring smoke out of the bleed nipple never seen such likes... and for it to still be working... well... should have bought a lotto ticket!

Never, ever adjust the rear brake pedal. It is factory set, to allow for fluid expansion when it heats up. Without free play, it will basically apply the rear brake as it heats up.

Ref the ASC light. Have you tried holding the switch on the left side of the handle bar? You may have inadvertently switch the ASC off.

Now this makes sence, As I was nailing it just before it kinda locked on... I did think i'd cooked
it as I was ..... AHEM.... Making progress... Shall we say. Thanks will try the switch lhs (but which one?)
