Adding heated rear comfort seat

@DaveTbmw can you scan the bikes options using a decent site - and see if its there yet / where in the list option 518 SA Seat Heating sits

I checked mine using this site today https://bimmer.work/

S0518 SA Seat Heating is less than halfway down the VO list on my bike
I expect its not showing for yours yet - come back in a month and I expect the new option will magically show listed

Back from the dealer. They found the cable, reprogrammed the software, and everything works. They told me that they found the plug & cable under the left side panel, but it's coming out of the right side. Anyhow, all works and only $75 charge.

Nice! That's not too bad at all... I need to reach out to my dealer, see if they'll activate my seat. It'll be nice this time of the year.

Did you get your heated seat activated in the end? And does your bike already have the required wiring? I don’t think mine has unfortunately.

No, the dealer said they were unable to program it. They called BMW who told them I may have to add another electrical component. It sounded a little like BS, so I just gave up with this dealer. Eventually I'll take it to the dealer 2 hours from here to see what they can do.

Luckily, yes!

Had the SOS Failure so had to take the bike for update and then back again to get the SOS unit replaced. Asked them if there was anything they they can do to activate it and thankfully they were able to "retrofit it", meaning, activate the option on the software.

I only have my seat, don't have the pillion seat with heating, but wifey rides her own bike, so don't need it.

Was the connector for the seat obvious when you took the seat off? I can’t see any sign of it on my bike. I’ve got heated front and rear seats, but nowhere to plug them in, very frustrating!

It was plugged already.

Didn't bother checking on the back as I don't have the seat for it.
