after being hit in the back on my 1150 I am now thinking of making myself more visible. I have a hepco and becker top box with a red reflector that I was going to wire a couple of led lights behind. can I wire directly into the rear stop light or will it interfere with the canbus electrics? was going to make some kind of plug and lead arrangement so I could use on both my 1150 and 1200

I wired my Givi topbox light into the back of rear light with no problems, 07 GSA.

I have a large LED array under the givi top box rack on my 1150 and it is quite effective I think.

Motorworks do a kit for Givi boxes which you should be able to adapt to your H&B box. Details here.

Yep - I split out the brake light with a spade connector 'piggy back -

There won't be any issues with anything 'electric' - the LED's draw so little current you'll never notice.

Then just wire up a few LED's onto a board with a suitable resistor, wire it up and you're away!

Alternativly, if you're feeling flush, the indicator boards from Nippy's with a brake light 'built in' is nice and some say gets you noticed a bit more..
