I would like my 1150GS to be taller than a GS but not as tall as an adventure.
I am considering adjustable length shocks front and back.
Has anyone any recommendations please of which shocks are good or bad?
I have seen some YSS shocks which can be adjusted between the lengths of the GS and GS adventure.
thanks in advance

Won't maxing out the preload front and read do the job? Even with the seat on the high setting?

I tried that but the ride is too hard. I've just sold my 1100GS which had a Wilbur shock and the difference between that and a stock set up is remarkable, and I really liked the comfy ride - as I'm getting on a bit!

You do know that adjusting the preload doesn't actually stiffen the suspension in any way right? It just increases the spring travel. Have you adjusted the damping? If I turn mine down too far then it's too squishy for me but too hard if turned right up. If, after playing with damping, your current shocks are too hard and you can't live with that then I understand why you want to replace them.

I had my introns built 10mm shorter but they have adjustable length in the lower mounting point.
