I telephoned HEL to try and sort out what brake line kit I needed for a 2003 R1150GS, originally with servo-ABS but now in bits and to be rebuilt without the servo. They told me that I needed to submit hose lengths to them and they would build to order. As the bike is in bits that makes measurement a tad difficult. The handlebars with master cylinders are at the front of the garage and the callipers are in a box half way along the garage on the opposite side so that make the hose required about 2.5 - 3.0 metres. Once I re-assemble everything that may prove a little excessively long:)

Has anyone specified lines and are happy with the result? If so can you post the measurements on this thread please. I was thinking of having no rigid pipe in the system hence minimising unions. So one hose from the lever to a tee at the lower fork brace, a short hose to the right calliper and a longer hose across the bridge and down to the left calliper. The rear is simpler as the original line would have done the job, I just fancy a nice new one after 78,000 salt and crap coated miles and the calliper hanging from it whilst I change the pads:D

Hope you get it sorted, BUMP

No, nobody seems to have measured for brake hoses.

I'll need to wait until it's re-assembled and then measure. They should apparently only take a few days to turn around.
