Adv 350

Ta.

And you’ve fitted this to the OE screen ?

The Puig I ordered off Amazon is a non starter I think.

Been weeks now

Yes Martin
it fits over the top of the screen and secures with 4 little allen bolts that squeeze onto rubber protectors so as not to mark the screen, its stable once fitted ive had one on at over double the national speed limit (on a closed road of course Officer) only thing to be mindful of is the little allen screws are made of chocolate and do round off fairly quickly

Hi all,

New to the forum and very interested in the ADV350.
I was wondering if anyone has any idea on how to mount two spotlights without adding the side bars to the bike.
The ones I have are really small but very powerfull (link here), and I am planning on carrying them from my current bike to the ADV350.

Would the front forks be a good place for that? Perhaps with something like this clamp?

Any ideas how you'd approach that please?

defo wouldn't be a good idea to mount powerful spotlight on the forks...you don't want added weight there and riding behind a car or something the lights would be causing a huge distraction when braking hitting holes ,indeed any time the front suspension moved....the brackets are £6.50 !!! how good are they going to be ? you try try and source a bracket of some kind to be mounted under the front head lights so the spots sit wider than the front fender, again for obvious reasons that they don't slam down on braking and smash into it. I am sure a brake could be sourced for £6.99 somewhere .
having said all that that std lights on the ADV are more than enough up to the job, so the question I ask is what you need high powered spot lights ? welcome to UKGSER .

Thank you DC.

The spot lights are for visibility. I've had them in all my previous bikes and I think they help a lot as they make car drivers aware. Even though they may also assist in lighting the road, that's not my primary purpose of having them.

Interesting idea about the spots mounted under the front headlights. Have you ever seen brackets that would allow that, or would it be more of a DIY job to make some?

not seen a specific Honda one for the ADV, the new version that goes under the 1250 GS is what you want. I think it would be better to get a local guy to make ya one. good luck post up an image when done

Can't say that I'd want spots on a scoot but if it was me I'd be tempted to just bite the bullet and drill holes and mount them directly onto the side panels. That way you would be able to have all the wiring concealed inboard.
Not quite £6.50 but if you did want to sell the scoot on later new panels can be sourced at a reasonable price if you look around.

Attached link may be of use to other scoot owners as they appear to have a good range of stuff.

Thanks @Fireflyer.
I am starting to see that spots on a scooter are indeed impractical.
I would consider your idea of drilling the plastics if I decide to go down that road. Last resort perhaps but very handy to be able to hide all the wiring as you said.

Cant see why anyone would not want extra lighting on the front of any bike scooter or not I put these on every bike I buy, anyway this is how I mounted mine<stainless steel bolts are now fitted !!

This may be of interest to taller riders considering either a Forza 350 or ADV350.

Called in at Chiswick Honda on last Saturday's rainy afternoon and had a mooch about. Street clothes and footwear. Sat on both bikes and found that at 6'3", my knees sat high on the footplate/deck of the Forza to the extent that free turn of the handlebars was impeded. If I were wearing boots, with associated thickness of soles, and also possibly winter trousers with insulation, then my knees would create a definite obstruction to free turn of the handlebars. Not good.

The net result of this 'showroom only assessment' is that the Forza is a non-starter for taller riders, IMHO.

Has anyone else experienced anything similar" (My inside leg measurement is 36", as a further indication of what challenge I brought to the bikes).

Thanks for all of the continuing information/experiences and recommendations on this ADV thread, started by Arsey.

The Forza has extra bits below the left-hand handlebar, Roadsync control I think, which definitely gets in the way of longer legged persons.
