Not planning to go that far, but I am thinking of taking it down to the south of France.

Road trip !

Awesome bike .
Sits at 80 mph on motorway . Puig screen is brilliant on high setting .
Getting 150 miles to tank flat out and 200 when pottering.

That’s with reserve.
I lowered screen and it was very noisy but it’s bloody great on high.
As comfy as a GS or similar.

Well, I think its safe to say my ADV is run in.
I’ve done over 500 miles over the weekend.
Started in Poole and rode M27/M3/A34/M40 to Cotswolds.
Stayed at a mates and then we rode up to New Mills in the Peak District, with about half motorway and half back roads.
Yesterday we spent all day on back roads and today we have ridden back down to the Cotswolds via A and B roads.
So its had a proper workout with all kinds of roads.
Previously I’d only done 700 miles pottering around Guernsey on it.
How has it coped ? MUCH better than I ever anticipated.
I’ve got a smoked Puig screen on it which is taller than standard and it was very good on the motorway. On a par with any big adventure bike for lack of buffeting etc.

Riding up via the motorway I got around 70mpg,and that’s sitting at 80mph .
Today, via backroads it did 85mpg over 155 miles, and still had 75 miles left so easily 200 miles to a tank with a good reserve.
I was amazed at how it picks up speed. No problem keeping up with mates on GSs.Infact I was waiting for them on occasion.
A short blast down the M40 today and I saw 95mph on the flat.
The combination of £145 Givi top box and the huge underseat storage makes it a pleasure to use on a trip, as clothes go in top box and spare layers, gloves etc under seat and easily accessible.

You could genuinely do a long distance tour on one with no problems.
Comfort was just fine and I’m 6’1”.

The only minor criticism I’ve got is the suspension could be a tad crashy over pot holes and bumps, but that’s more a reflection of the dreadful state of the UK’s roads, than the scoot.

It’s just fine at home and will be great in Brittany where the roads are so much better than over in the UK.

So to sum up, its a bloody great bit of kit.
Comfortable, huge storage, 80mph cruise and 70/85 mpg, depending on use.

Could just be the best bike Honda make and all for under £6k !!!!!

Excellent (y)

surprisingly good scooters

Out of interest, have you checked your oil level?

my dealer said check it now and then as the smaller engines can use a bit, so far I’ve not used a drop :) think he just wanted to sell me a bottle of oil:D

I think the smaller size of the wheels might be a reason for this crassly bumpy ride too.
