How does the sidestand come off the 1150 Adventure?

Had a quick look and can see a small circlip holding the sidestand switch but...

How do you get the springs off then the sidestand.

Any help appreciated.............

Tar..........BB...... :)

Spring removal

Extend sidestand, insert washers/coins etc into spring coils, fold up sidestand, and if you've put enough in the spring should lift off :thumb

take the spring off(bit of muscle needed) remove the circlip and the sidestand cut out switch which just lifts off, then remove the bashplate from underneath the bike, once you have the bashplate off you can get at the allen bolt from the back, once you have the bolt out just lift the stand off about 10 mins start to finish.

OR, use a piece wire or nylon string doubled up and wrapped around a screw driver or suitable dowel(or whatever), hook loop over spring hook and pull hard until spring hook is free. Then remove circlip, remove switch, unscrew retaining pin from back of stand(allen key I think) :thumb
