Adventure Shock/Suspension on std GS

Is it just the shock set up that is different between a Adv and Std bike, are they interchangable?
I think my rear shock has seen better days and won't last much longer.

Think you'll find your stands are a bit short if you do the swap.

Rumour has it the Adv's driveshaft is different (longer? ) - it certainly has a different part number...
