Hi
I am in the process of fitting an adventure tank to my GS. I have swapped the tank lid, now question what is important for fitting the pipes?
I understand the pipes from the tank are 8mm and have quick release couplings. What do I need for the connection pipe, does it need a straight coupling as well,
or rather a straight with 90 deg bend?? :confused:Is that 8 mm fuel line as well. Also typical BMW chaps seems to do only male part of the couplings :confused:in metal, why is that?
Any advice appreciated.
Have a nice Sunday
Cheers

I have fitted an adventure tanks to my 1100 and the fitting is indentical on the 1100 and 1150. The quick connector on the pipe that links the two 'lobes' is a 90 degree one.
This will be the same as fitted on an Adventure model. No special parts required to fit to a non adventure bike

Also typical BMW chaps seems to do only male part of the couplings :confused:in metal, why is that?

Because it's only the male section that used to break when they supplied only plastic versions.

Great guys, sorted, ordered metal couplings 6 mm connector and 8 mm main pipes..:thumb2
