Removing the tank to access wiring underneath and the under tank CPC connector decided that after 20 years it was going to sod off to QD heaven. To be fair, it was more than a little bit brittle. Fortunately I have some 6mm hose and clamps so I'm not stranded without a bike. Temporary repair sorted. (y)

I've had a look at some threads posted up with regard to QD couplings and I'm not sure what to go for, other than it needs to be 90 deg. There seems to be a bewildering choice. I don't want / can't afford to pay a fortune but do want something that can handle being taken apart a good few times without springing leaks.

Any advice or links to something appropriate would be great.

TIA

I found QD to be more trouble than it’s worth. Another 60 seconds to undo a hose clamp ain’t the end of the world.

Replace them All BM have brass Chrome ones if I recall now

Any bike with these QDs should have them replaced at least once by now

Especially if in frequent Use as in not laid up for years

I'll have a look... Thanks. (y) The work I've got planned in the next few weeks means the tank will be on and off more than a whores drawers. (y)

Here you go. I bought some for my 1100 with a big tank. Managed to find a new 6mm one for 30 quid. You gets what you pays for you know.
