A friend of mine has been offered a bike!, now being an honest sort of chap he does not want to rip off the old guy that owns and as such has asked me to see what you guys think is a FAIR price.

The bike is a 1991 BMW Paris Dakar with........................................................

6500 km on the clock in immaculate condition!!

Can't work out what is wrong with the photograph of the front mudguard.

The BW is upside down?

Thought it was a reversed picture, but the BMW on the tank badge is OK as is the GS just above the headlight.

Never mind being honest. Do the honerable thing and pay him what he wants. What you may loose out in cash, you will gain in having a clear conscience.

5k and you've got a bargain! I recon, given the current market for classic bikes and airheads in the UK, that if it was put on eblag etc.someone would pay 6-7 K for that?

Chroming? No harm in that, after all no one has been raped or murdered. Value? Judging by the prices I've seen of other mint R100GS-PDs, it must be between £5000 and £6000, IMO.

£6500 to £7000, using two identical ones I have bought/sold over the past 12 months as a guide.
