Am seriously considering trading my 2011 twin cam GSA with 29k on the clock for a new LC GSA. Is there anyone on here done the same and regretted it afterwards. Discounting the obvious differences...extra power, watercooling, etc, is the new GSA any better than the TC version. I ask this because I have a sizeable difference in cash to stump up and want to be sure i'm doing the right thing and my TC has been ultra reliable and will be missed but is now racking up a few miles. I know at the end of the day the decision is mine but would be grateful of any input.

The thing that swung it for me, was that I can see where I'm going at "yes officer" speeds on the LC whereas no matter what I tried with different screens, I'd hit that kind of speed on my twin cam and all the three preceding 1200's and my eyeballs would start vibrating in sympathy with the buffeting my head was getting. On top of that, the ride quality from the Dynamic ESA is in a different league, the handling's better, the fuel consumption is better and then there's the power. :D

Swapped my 2010 twin cam GSA with 27000 miles for a 2015 LC GSA, no regrets whatsoever, it is much better. Have a long test ride on one and see what you think.

I went from a 2011 Triple Black to a 2013 LC. Never once regretted that decision! The TC was a great bike, however the LC just suits my kind of riding style much more.

I've not had any issues with reliability so far and the bike is so good I'll probably keep it for a while yet. A friend of mine is over 40,000 miles in under 2 years on his LC and he's not had any issues either.

As I'm sure you already know. - go do a really long test ride to be sure it's the bike you really want to buy :thumb2

Went from a 2012 GSA to a 2014. The three biggest gains to me are how much smoother the engine is, how much lighter handling it feels especially the steering, and cruise control. In addition the seat is more comfortable and the easy adjust windshield is convenient to raise when it starts raining. It delivers 44-45 mpg under the same riding the Camhead would do 40-41. It essentially uses no oil, over 5,000 miles the level dropped from the top to over 1/2 way up the sight glass. It's really slick how the GPS integrates too. The bike runs and handles better.

The Camhead sounds a little nicer. One thing I don't like as well on the new GSA is you can't run just the front seat because removing the rear exposes a cavity and such. They do sell a cover which is what I put on probably the aftermarket offers something now.

Thanks to everyone who replied and for your input. Had a test ride today on new GSA1200LC and really enjoyed it. Most of ride was done in road mode and ridden as I do my TC. Power and fuel consumption very good achieving 58mpg overall on 55ml run. Last bit I tried the dynamic mode, opened the throttle and hung on. I'm sure my arms are longer than when I started.... the power difference was incredible.
The main thing that would stop me buying one however good the bike felt is parting with my TC and the thick end of 8 Grand. Is the LC that good for me to do that.... I have to decide if it's worth it !!
