Africa Twin is HERE !!!

Got to say I has a crap ride on Sunday on the AT, not the bikes fault at all purely down to me, Put the Rox Risers on adjusted them too far forward first mistake !! wore my new Daytona Open GTX boots that felt fine in the garage on the bike and the gear lever was too low to get the boot under, the brake was also too low and couldn't rear brake properly, put the baffle in the Termi for the day as the other 2 bikes are on STD cans and hated the noise, and finally the new £160 gloves I bought were too tight !!

Got to where we were going removed the bar risers, and baffle, adjusted the levers gave the gloves to my son in law and took the almost brand new ones i gave him last week back
and hey presto the ride home was perfect LOL

On a Plus note the adjustable screen spoiler worked a treat

Remember the old days where a handlebar change to ace bars or flat bars was the norm....at least these days we can tailor our bikes to fit, for the most part.

So which of you ladies is gonna be the first to get some stickers? ;)

Arrow headers fitted :

Sounds amazing and much smoother with more grunt having ditched the cat.

But bit disappointing that Arrow made provisions to refit the rear metal heat shield and black plastic cover by adding brackets for such :

So I've ended up re-fitting the rear cover for now, though the middle one is junked.

But the finished article looks very similar to the original !:blast

But I think Jonathan at Rugged Roads is on the case and designing something more subtle.

Here's an owners Termi full system. I'd heard the headers were delayed, so presume they are now going to be available here soon.

The titanium headers from Arrow don't appear to have those brackets fitted.

I really am torn between the Arrow and Termi. I prefer the Ti Arrow headers and how the Arrow end can sits higher, but like the Termi end can shape.

Doesn't look the easiest bike to ride off road does it !!

I think i read somewhere else that he got his foot caught on the footpeg, not sure i would post it on youtube if it were my video?

Had another go on one, this time with the Remus baffle out. it was incredible!! Such a fun bike to ride and what an awesome sound!

That said, id crashes badly. One drop left on a lane on saturday, resulted in the SW Motech crash bar failing and damaging the fairing because it folded up, the wing mirror smashed and the left plastic hand guard broken in two. A pretty expensive first drop!

Was in a Honda dealer in Lancashire the other day and he said that there was now quite a long wait for the DCT version in Tricolor. That being the most popular colour by far and the manual to DCT sales have been around 60/40 when Honda Uk had anticipated it would be around 70/30 max.

I know of 2 dealers that have unfortunately had to give deposits back as they just can't get the DCT Tricolor bikes from anywhere in the dealer network :(

I still like the black :thumb

Those Africa Twins seem difficult to tame!

Was posted a while back in another thread. .....
