Totally agree.Happens in all walks of life and this is a GS forum with 1000s of members but I guess it's bound to attract narrow-minded blinkered individuals. But as the main culprit is so wrapped up in his own bubble and hasn't even got the brains to go try an AT and therefore have a base for his hollow bullshit,I find the best way is just stick such individuals on the ignore list........

Have you ever considered that the said individual you are referring to may be playing you at your own opening game (of this thread) and having a giggle and goading.

I know you're thinking 'humorous engineer' not a chance but we all know he's not a real engineer - it looks like he's been teasing out some lovely character flaws

Am I the only one looking forward to the "My AT is knackered and been back to the dealers twice now" thread :ronno

You may have a long wait !! Never had a single fault with previous Hondas, unlike BMWs which are normally delivered with them !

I KNOW IM TAKING THE PISS :green gri

Before buying the greatest bike on earth (insert your bike here) I was a Honda man through and through.

When Bissons finally get one in Jersey I will borrow it. You never know I might be a Honda man again some day. Enjoy your new bikes whatever they are :beerjug:

Ta.

I'm going to get one from Rugged Roads once they produce it.

Might be doing a deal tomorrow to possibly trade the Versys in against something that keeps appealing. Will still use the Versys on my 2000 mile jaunt in April to Tarn Gorge/Millau and Route Napoleon. As much as I love it,I think it will take a back seat once I pick up the AT this week, whereas the proposed toy will complement the AT and 950SE rather nicely !!

:aidan

Love the look of that mount but what would you use to mount the Zumo 660 to it is there an adaptor that can be used ??

Hadn't thought that far but some kind of Ram mount should fit the bill

No Mate ive looked as ive got the other one that bolts to the handlebar mounts and it also has the round bar, checked but nothing I could find would fit, there used to be a little black plastic block that used to clamp around the crossbar of the handlebars that you could bolt the Zumo to then it just tightened up with 2 screws but I cant find them anywhere !!

Why would anyone be looking at an adventure bike if they're 100% road and 90% two up? Wouldn't something like a R1200RT or any of the Italian, Japanese, or even an American rides be more in line with your stated needs.

Who is looking for such a bike?

You must never have had a VFR 1200 then ! I know someone who is on his 4th rear shock due to the preload adjuster seizing. And yes I know BMWs have faults but Hondas do too. Remember the constant rectifier problems as well.

+1 me to. Although it would have to be much better than the figures and a lot of tests I have watched/read suggest for my needs which are 100% road use and 90% 2-up!

Somehow dropped the quote in first post. Blame it on operators error.

:thumb2 got it

This is what I'm getting....fits the top screen bar, is quick release and I'll run my GPS from the power point by shortening the lead and junking all the unnessary leads I don't need (Bluetooth comms). :thumb2
