Well I've not been on here for a week or two and I've missed all this. Anyway just to let you know Camille has now been sold. It was proven as the real deal by a number of sources and before anyone goes off on one about the bike at hpn that's an 83 bike wearing some of the spares from the 84 bike like the long range tank etc. the give away is the rear subframe. Anywho that's it, she's gone and yes it was a good deal I got.
So to keep people like Trippy happy I'll close the tread. I will always have the pics of the rebuild and always the memory of being able to ride and own the bike. I will also have the memory that Dad ( pastyman) got to see her finished and running before he died. That in a nutshell is enough for me.

Maybe my next rebuild post will be of Jaffa being turned into a nice cafe racer, might take a while as Ross's race bikes take up a lot of bench time:D

Good one:thumb2

:clap

Wreford - nice to see the bike out and about:thumb

I have to say ..... having seen and heard Wreford's bike in the flesh, I am i/ quite jealous :P and ii/ can absolutely buy into the idea of why somebody would take on an old classic and work on it and restore it. And I say that having been a bloke who has never 'got' old 70;s projects, but gets them now ..!

As you've sold it, why not tell everyone how its provenance was established? That rather than the price or the value is what I'd love to hear about.

Agreed

Provenance is all i'm interested in, I found researching my old Airhead, that Wreford's got now..........very satisfying
