I am mid messing about with my R100RT... It started with a duff beancan and then progressed to a new timing chain as well... As it's been a bit of a slow job I forgot I had left it in 5th gear to move the crank around and moved the bike a metre or so with it in gear, the plugs out and the cam chain off to work on it... Do the timing marks on the sprockets line up with the left pot on TDC for compression or is it the right pot... Knowing me I have probably just set it up 360 degrees out...
