Them MIVV is a fine looking exhaust but my mate fitted a carbon Termignoni to his new Triple Black and it's the best looking exhaust I've seen so for on the LC GS's

Got a pic?

Think I deleted the photos from my phone but I'm sure I posted them in a previous thread.

I went through to mivv endcans on a multistrada. Not very weell made to cope with the pulse of a big twin

It's an end can - as far as performance goes........... there is no difference. Forget tales of "Akrapovic working with BMW" - that may make a difference to a front to back full race exhaust - but not for a mere end-can (even for an awesome "Triple black" :blast....... as one fella mentions. )

There may be economic reasons (higher residuals) for an Akra can - but please don't delude yourself that you have the ultimate in aftermarket performance upgrade..............

Once again - it's a shagging end-can............. not a space-shuttle booster rocket ! :blast

Al

You are talking bollox ,as usual.

It's more important for an end can to work without any fuelling mods, hence the reason Akra and KTM/BMW spend a fair bit of wonga to get it spot on.

Fitting a full system will always need the fuel/air mix adjusting. The new headers combined with a new end can on an aftermarket system will be so much more free flowing than an OE header/can that you WILL need the fuel map adjusting, otherwise the bike will be running very lean.

Just ask somebody like Geoff at Hilltop.....

I love the fact that it's a little shorter...... some of the cans are feckin huge!!

I'm a long time Ducati rider............... the Termignoni badge should never be hidden or removed.

AKRA all the time and every time, other cans might look better (in the eye of the beholder) but very likely not perform or be robust as they are intended to be.

Back in the days of Vespa, a guy bought scorpion system and his can literally blew the end cap off and burned a hole in the side of it. Scorpion the recalled every single one of them on safety grounds and took ages rectifying the problem. I am yet to hear any issues with Akra cans.

Yoshi.. R77

I have had Akrapovic on my last three GSAs and I really liked them. When I got my current LC the price was a bit steep at nearly €1100 so I held off as the stock exhaust is a little bit fruity at least.

I now have decided that I think I will go for the Yoshi but it looks like there are two different ones available. The heptaforce which NN (and just about everyone else) is selling, sounds good but feck that thing is loooonnnnngggg.
Or the R77 which is shorter and I think sounds better (though may be a bit too loud)

Has anyone here gotten the R77 variant??

P.S. I think the best sounding exhaust I had was the Remus (with full headers) on my Rocster. I had a young boy come up to me with a worried frown on his face to tell me that "my bike sounded like it was verrrryyyy angry"
Made the child in me happy to hear that.

I like Akra and have had a couple which I really rated, especially on the F800GS, but I just couldn't bring myself to pay so much more when the Yoshi looks and sounds fantastic.

Before I had the Yosi, Akra was my default, now I'd have to be persuaded to go back

I bought mine in April 16 from JHS Racing.

Yoshimura Black Metal Magic Hepta Force Slip On Kit - Carbon Outlet Cap - Yoshimura Japan Road Legal.
It is in currently in UK stock and would be £517.75 Inc VAT and UK mainland delivery

If it's street cred and looks that you're after get the Akra.

If it's performance that you're after get a hilltop and spend the change on a tour!

I've just fitted a akrapovic looks good and sounds mint. Baffles out hehe

The euro 4 you can't remove the baffles. Euro 3 works fine and fitted by dealer. Sounds mint cracks and pops lol

But what are the implications of using Euro 3 exhausts on a Euro 4 engine. Both in terms of quality (if it wears the engine quickly) and warranty.
