Akro headers and Touratech sumpgaurd

You might have seen my post regarding fitting Akro headers on my 2010 twin cam and they dont fit with my Touratech sumpgaurd. The sumpgaurd wraps up the front more than the standard sumpgaurd and the link pipe that joins the two downpipes together fouls it on the left side.

Before i send them back for a refund has anyone fitted them successfully with an aftermarket sumpgaurd? and how did you do it?

Can't you take an angle grinder to the TT sump guard to make it fit?
