MY '08 GSA. All the toys (ESA, ABS, ASC, TPC). From time to time I return to the bike and the alarm isn't set. To start with (last year sometime) I thought it was my forgetfulness to set it so I put it on auto set but still does it. It doesn't happen much - I'd say I've noticed it 3 or 4 times in 6 months.

Anyone else had a similar experience? Do I remember something about a conflict between the alarm and ASC on early models?

I think the alarm will de-activate if the battery level is getting too low.

:)

I keep it connected up to a solar trickle charger some of the time, which has been on for the last week or so, which was when I most recently noticed the alarm had deactivated itself. It could explain some of the occasions in the middle of winter though - the solar charger is a relatively new thing.

IIRC it's not a case of it deactivates if the battery level drops, it deactivates the movement sensors if the bike hasn't been touched for so many days, to prevent the battery level from dropping.

It's still immobilised and the alarm will still sound if the unit detects current drain (i.e. someone trying to hotwire the bike) tho.

I could be wrong tho.

RTFM would be my advice if you are concerned. :)
