All wheel drive anyone.....?

Didn't Yamaha develop a hydraulic front wheel drive for one of their off road bikes a few years ago ?

Suzuki tried it as well years ago. They all had a major problem that might could be solved by electronics now. Any slip on the front wheel of a bike typically results in an off. It isn't controllable like the wheels slipping on a fwd car. Tight control of traction would stop the problem but then you hit soft ground or mud and it won't drive anymore negating the point of it.

Yeah, electronics can overcome many problems with hydraulics. with the level of development in that domain, 2WD motorcycles are not far aways. interesting times ahead.

Finally all who wanted a reverse gear also on the 1200 GSes will be happy :D
