has you any comments on service and after sales from this dealer
I have bought two GSA's from Piddocks Long Eaton, I feel the same to wards them, best dealer in the Country for me.GlynnJ said:Funny, isn't it? How people's impressions differ. I really don't like Williams in Manchester, but I have heard people say they are fantastic. I guess it depends on your mood, their mood, and the relationship you build up over time. Nobody's perfect, I guess.

James Bryan said:Julio -- Living in Huddersfield you have the really difficult problem of choosing between Jeffries and Rainbow , both among the best BMW dealers in the country .
Glyn J's comments are apt , an individual's reaction to a situation often says as much about them as the dealer they are commenting upon .
I have used both Jeffries and Rainbow for many years and can attest to the quality of their staff , knowledge , expertise and quality . Both have treated me well and both offer excellent service .
However , I know several experienced riders who will pass either Jeffries or Rainbow in order to get to the other dealer , this despite the extra miles / hassle .
Now , I have spent too many hours just mouching about in dealers , kicking tyres , telling tall tales , watching those blessed with mechanical skill operating , and finally observing customers - perhaps the most interesting spectacle of all - try it when you have the time !
I once saw a male customer do his best to piss off staff at Jeffries by complaining vociferously that the two test bikes that he and his girlfriend had taken out for a ride only had half full tanks , this after having been out for thirty mins. . He waited impatiently whilst a mechanic topped up both tanks ,before they set out on the test ride part two - all this on a busy Saturday morning with a shop full of customers ! He seemed to be totally unaware that his behaviour was selfish and unreasonable . He may well now be someone who is unable to explain his lack of comfort with Jeffries .
Similarly , I was in Rainbow enjoying myself on a beautiful summer's day chating to a mate over a coffee and witnessed a customer coming in to trade in his GS and collect his new bike . His trade - in was absolutely encrusted with fresh filth and he had evidently used that morning to take his bike for a trip over the moors , off-road ! How could he expect to be welcomed with open arms next time on his return , having treated Rainbow in such a fashion ?
There have been times when I have not been fully satisfied with something from both dealers but I take the view that we are in this together for the long term , that way I can turn up @ 07:15 @ Jeffries on a Tuesday morning so that Dan can fit a new starter motor , so that I don't miss a track day @ Cadwell that day - superb service !
Finally , get to know them , remember that it is their place of work - watch how hard they work and think how you might feel if people were able to walk right in to your office / workshop and demand that you deal with them . I think that they do a difficult job very well . Take pleasure in being spoilt for choice & enjoy !
All the best , Jim

Joe said:Well I took your advise and took a deep breath, then phoned Jefferies and spoke to Mike Lyon (very nice Guy too) all the problem with my bike are going to be sorted out this weekend with a bit of luck.
You can't blame me for getting upset, I spent a lot of money on Saturday buy the 1200, but I suppose these things happen, as long as they sort it out I be happy and want have a problem recommending them to friends.
