Alloy fuel tank on GSA...

After a good look & studied the new tank, NICE bit of engineering, I like to see the welding... Its not gonna be a problem but the fuel is cold & my knees are touching the alloy tank, which is a great conductor of heat/cold..
When I eventually (possibly) upgrade to the GSA ill wear thicker trousers..

FFS - BMW GS's (G/S,GS, 11GS, 1150GS) and a lot of bike have metal tanks for years

Only 1200's have had plastic tanks

Do you honestly think you'll get cold legs from touching the tank FFS, some people really are 'hard of thinking'

Is the alloy tank going to chill riders knees.?
Fuel is cold & are riders knees or thighs in contact.?

Possibly if riding in shorts/naked on a cold winters day. Trousers are your friend.

Haha, for summer riders I'm sure they don't get cold inner thighs, but when there's ice on the outside of the tank it defo transfers through to your body..
But like I said, it's not the first metal tank & I quite like it.

Being cynical perhaps bmw reintroduced a metal tank on the new GSA as they realised how much money they were losing from punters buying replacement tanks after an off when they went from steel on the 1150 to plastic on the 1200 bikes and they want to reintroduce that lucrative market
