No idea, but he stopped posting on here. I sent him a couple of PM's but he didn't reply to them. I thought he seemed like he had a good sense of humour, but maybe not.
I've not looked into it - but if it cant be done, I agree its cr@p.
In fact I have to wonder about BMW thinking with the dash...you have all this over the top info like 4 trips and a voltage meter
Yet the owner can't change to KPH or PSI or the date to UK format on the fly....seems you have to go to the dealer to do this....although my dealer doesn't know how to change these things yet
Don't thinks so. My car has an LCD sped display in MPH and you just go into user setup and change the dial to KPH and hey presto you have a new set of KPH numbers round the dial and the MPH has gone.
Sorry, I didn't mean the digital readout, I meant the analogue dial, the european kph dials are so much easier to read, I'd like the same simple single set of numbers but in mph.
I may give Lockwood a call to see if it is possible. http://www.lockwoodinternational.co.uk
Thank you Georgeeboi und wunderbar! I did try some months ago to bring up Digital MPH but failed. I also didn't know what Computer Pro was. It took questions to two dealers to learn that it is standard on TE models. Now I have the only thing I missed from my Explorer. Thanks again.
I think those that are struggling to read the clocks should consider an eye test, (this isn't a dig at them,) but it is seriously easy to read the digits. you should also be getting used to the layout of it by now surely?
The clocks really arent as difficult as is being made out.
Not struggling to read them, they're just too 'busy'.
I like to be able to scan the dials and have the important stuff jump out at me, not have to go searching for it.
I'm the same with watches, don't like ones where there's loads of dials within dials and where you have to tilt it so the light hits the hands just right so you can read them.

Takes a few seconds to work out where the bloody hands are.
