I'm sure I found somebody else asking this question recently, its about a "cheapo" AM/FM radio for the bike from somewhere in China via fleabay.
Well I lashed out the £25, waited 2 weeks and am very impressed with the product! I've mounted the radio next to the Autocom unit under the rear seat, and when the intercom kicks into life, so does the radio!
Bit of a waste of money having to pay for the speakers as well, but all in all a top bit of kit!!!:thumb

Oh, I suppose I'd better put the link in here in case anybody fancies having a look.

Firstly, thanks for doing the link (smarty pants!)

It shows on the video clip an externally mounted radio, but due to the vent holes at the rear of the unit, these would probably let moisture in unless shielded by a fairing or screen.

As for changing stations, is there another one apart from Radio 2?

of course there is radio4 and the Archers :D

seriously here in the lakes being able to change channel is a necesisary, rather than a luxury, due to reception problems.

Excuse the electrics, but its all in and it all works:bounce1
1 x Autocom
1 x AM/FM radio
1 x bluetooth dongle

a radio is all very well, and has it's uses too :thumb2

But is it RDS? or are you going to be stopping every 5 miles to adjust the reception.

The Scala rider Q2 etc bluetooth kit has FM radio built in. But it not RDS and is therefore useless once your a few miles down the road. Even though it's on your helmet it's nigh-on impossible to adjust on the move. :nenau

Its not RDS, but as I live in the thriving metropolis of Cardiff, I don't need to change it every 5 miles. On a longer run its a case of plugging the ipod back in to keep the vibes going!

Oh thank jesu, I thought it was just me that had this problem... on the M6 between Manchester and Birmingham (narrow's it down I know) there's a spot where I lose Radio 4 :roband then can't find anything and it's been so annoying that I've ended up listening to talking books everywhere I go via bluetooth on the Zumo now.

Old Harry's Game bacvk catalogue made the miles fly by from home to Caerphilly last week.:thumb

I've got one. Mounted up on the bars on a ram mount TomTom kept sending me for some reason. Mounted an arial left of the screen and about the same hight. Reception is ok around Aberdeen but not tried it out of town. Keeping up with the changing frequency's might be a pain, the wheel is a bit fiddly with thick gloves on.
I really wanted it so I could keep up with the reds on a Saturday afternoon. Thats the reds from Liverpool, not the other ***** from Manchester.....:D
AM is a bit 'noisy' to say the least.
