You're not the only one to have a 'Err' propper bike stashed away at the front of the garage. My 1200 compliments my airhead very nicely indeed.Wouldn't be with out it either.

well i picked the st up and have just got back, first ever airhead ride, well for a start i neeed to go back to the vendor to ask for the front brake which he obviously has forgotten to refit, the headlamp is as good if not slightly better than my 1200.the gearbox is slicker and quieter than my 1200
,the engine is so smooth and willing and pulls really well esp in the higher gears which is a surprise
.apart from the slight rise from the rear on take off the fd seems really good
.the seat though seems very hard but maybe ok on a run i dont know yet.
overall quite pleased really and surprised how good it is.time will tell weather i gel with it or get rid.looks crap without the panniers on and all that iron work hanging out though.
Don't waste your time trying to compare it to the 1200. You'll fail. Appriciate the fact that the ST is a very different toy and that it's headlight is much better than the 1200's will ever be. Don't like the look without the panniers? Then put them back on and it'll always look great.

)No shouldn't be
have you got a cross brace behind mud guardlike a GS
your welcome to meet up and compare racks from my r100gs
The ST is a much better bike than the g/s. fit a 1000cc rs engine in there and have some serious fun for not a lot of money.
