...... who has fitted a Givi airflow on my 2011 and found it worse than the original screen? I've fitted it this afternoon and tried all different positions. It is quieter than the original but whatever I do I can't dial out significant turbulence from about 75mph onwards. Grrrr. Will have another fiddle with it tomorrow but might just invest in a fly screen as I don't mind the wind I just don't want my bonce wobbling about.

Been using a Givi Airflow for over 60K miles and love it.
I have fitted home made "tobinators" about 1 inch long to angle the screen back and give a larger gap between the headlight and bottom of the screen, this might reduce negative air pressure behind the screen.
I also use NN winglets which help.

It's a personal choice due to different heights, obviously. But I couldn't get on with it either.
Even on the low setting, I found that it was slightly in my eyeline. But was good at maintaining a still air pocket behind it.
What I really didn't like about it, was that when it rained, it forced water down the back of my visor.
After my bike had a little, em, lie down at an adverse camber junction, it was damaged and I went back to the standard one.

I just get on with it.

One look at the bike tells you it's an aerodynamic masterpiece:D

I've a TC ADV with the more aerodynamic tinted screen;) and a couple of those winglet jobbies that were also obviously developed in a wind tunnel.

I'm 6'3" and Ive fiddled around with the screen for all of 5 minutes before dragging it up to max for most weather and 'putting up' with a bit of buffet.

Honestly, appreciate other folk have different priorities but it's reasonably protective and if I wanted better I'd have got a full on roadster tourer with a mahoosive barn door of a thing on the front.

Good luck in your probably endless quest to turn you bike into a sort of pseudo car:)

Now i'm going to sing the other way.

I had a givi airflow,

It was missing its support brackets so vibrated it's tits off

i took the upper screen off, it reduced the vibration, but put the airflow slap bag into the

centre of my helmet.

Moving the screen more vertical helped, but meant that i then had the problem that with no

airflow, any rain that hit my visor was not swept away ..

One i had the support brackets i put the upper screen back, and adjusted it ..

Now i can hit brisk ;) speeds with no turbulence. In fact i have to remember to pop my

visor down a bit, just in case i get anything in it :)

Nothing will stop motorway turbulence

I have small Tobinators on the front with back set 2nd from bottom but not critical. Top slider at lowest position. I get minimal turbulence good airflow and what's not to like. I also have winglets but they come off in summer.
It's not trying to emulate a car windscreen but the alternative on every other screen I tried was turbulence sometimes so bad I got a headache within a few minutes.
I use a TT screen stiffener to stop the lateral wobble. More cosmetic than anything no big difference in air flow.

With previous bikes I have usually found that smaller is better when it comes to screens. I don't mind airflow as long as there isn't serious (i.e. vision blurring) turbulence to go with it. I've read so many good reports about the givi AF on the GS they are what made me go for it. Tomorrow I will not be as vexed so will try again. I have a big trip coming up in July so need to sort things ready for that.

Jonnybravo....thanks for your suggestion. I hadn't seen that one and will consider.

I put a Givi screen on many years ago and was very disappointed with turbulence. Then I fitted the GSA winglets and it became SUPER quiet. Logical really and The air pocket created was brilliant

I tried the Givi and found it gave pretty good protection from the wind but made the bike so much noisier . It seemed as If I was sat inside a drum with all the mechanical and exhaust noise being amplified . I have a 1200 TC and I don't like the exhaust noise anyway so this was a complete step backwards as far as I was concerned . I guess everybody has a different view but my ears seem to accentuate the exhaust , it must be something to do with the frequency .

Indeed, you may be right, but i'd rather have an orchestra of mechanical noise , (love the pops and bangs:) )
than be buffeted and blasted by wind every time i lifted my head

I had head banging turbulence from GSA screens and a fair bit of wind noise.
The Givi screen stopped 90% of turbulence and all of the wind noise so I could now hear the mechanical cacophony without a headache.
Solution as before is ear plugs or drive the car.
My main aim was to remove the turbulence which generally it has.

The top half of the Givi sliding part has much more fly splatter. I wonder if the turbulence would improve if had been made curved back rather than forwards. The splatter does suggest its ploughing the air rather than deflecting.
