I was wondering if anyone has had this problem. The last few evenings when leaving work, my ambient temp display is only showing 19 degrees centigrade when it is clearly in the late 20's. It happened the other night but within a short time it started to climb and display an accurate temp. The last two nights and mornings it has not budged. Could it be a faulty sensor and, if so, does anyone know where it is within/ on the bike?

Ta:confused:

The sensor is hidden behind the beak which I think you have to take off to get to it properly.

It looks like a small rubber aerial. I doubt its servicable though.

If the temp is wildly different from when it was shutdown last, it keeps that value until you drive a certain distance then samples it. Stops random sun soak showing 50c after you park up in the sun.

That makes sense. It had been sat in the sun all day and I only rode it a short distance, a couple of miles. I'll keep an eye on it for the time being, Thanks

Tried it today in the garage and within seconds of starting the bike it climbed from 19 to 26. Thanks for the advice. Saved me from stripping the bike for no reason.

Mine's always a couple of degrees out when compared with the car (BMW 3 series) and/or the clock on the building alongside the M6 near Haydock.
