an RT question

HI chaps, does anyone know if a 1200 RT suffers with the same probs as a GS? ie final drive,fpc,antenna ring,
I quite fancy one and wondered what the score was.

Yes but... Antenna problem has been fixed - just check it has the latest part number.

It does suffer from the FPC problem but it seems to be much less prevalent; you see the odd report but nothing like the scale of the GS (even allowing for the lower numbers sold).

Don't know about the final drive - my impression is the answer is Yes but less prevalent.

dont think ill bovver, fuel ribbons, rdc, fpc, fd, nah, i think ill go for a st1100 me finks.

R1200rt failures

I had a fuel pump controller failure on mine, my friend had a final drive failure on his, but I do not regard them as troublesome. In 2 years these have been both bikes only faults.
Great long (or short) distance high mileage bike.
