Just had a set of these fitted and noticed a few days later that on one side the words "Anakee 2" are back to front, like what you would see in a mirror.

Why ??

Tyre rotation wrong way round. Get them to refit it properly.

However, if it has Anakee on both sides but reads backwards on only one side then they are not directional and all is ok.

If its printed wrong as in a mirror image, the mounting would make no diff surely, sounds like reject mouldings, get them replaced free :)

On the plus side theyre great tyres I think

Could be the new Seekana's good tyres, on reflection

Maybe ...

... they're inside out ;) Myself and others have found them very sensitive to the correct pressures, with quite adverse effects if they are only a little soft.

Getting a new front anarkee 2 fitted next week loose wheel fit & balance £95.00.
I am on my third set cant say i have noticed them being sensitive to pressure:nenau

anakees

They are mounted in the correct direction. Strange, cant see a manufacturer making such an unitentional mistake with what is probably a 100000 pounds mould tool.

On either side of the tyre it should read correctly only when Anakee2 is at the bottom.

tyres

I keep my bike in Barcelona and I am home now. I am back there in early May and I will check but as far as I can remember it was not upside down, it was mirrored. Anyone out there near a tyre supplier who can pop in and have a look?

What size tyre (may make a difference), I have a pair of Anakee in my wardrobe and both bikes are shod with them, will check tonight.

Ok , the word 'Anakee'.

Now imagine that ^^ is attached to your tyre and is at the bottom. Make an imaginary rearward rotation on your pc screen and watch how Anakee on the imaginary tyre, when going counter-clockwise, will reach the top and be upside down. It could fool you into thinking it is a mirror image but it isn't, it's simply upside down with an usd 'e' at the front and an usd 'A' at the end.

Make sense?:nenau

A Michelin Change!

I have several pairs of Anakee's on bike's and as spares and I think the confusion is caused by the decision by Michelin to change the orientation of some of text on both Anakee's and the later Anakee2's.
the text "Michelin radial" and "Anakee2" will be right way up to read when at the BOTTOM of the wheel while all other legal/technical/dimensional text will be the right way up at the TOP of the wheel.
I assume they've done this to all bike tyres now? I don't think the other manufacturers have copied this great idea:rolleyes:
Anyway, it does not affect the tyres performance or your statutory rights in any way:D:D - but it does look a bit strange at first.
