Just been told by my tyre stealer that Anakee III's are not available until mid-Sept earliest due to BMW buying all Michelin stock !

I was told by Bowkers in Preston that tyres were hard to get hold of because manufacturers had no stock.

No worries the Avon Trailriders are a far better tire, I won't be using the Michelins again and the PR4 wear out far to quickly.

Got a pair of Anakee III here if anyone wants them for £130 plus post or collect from Norwich, bought them off here, for my KTM 1190 recently, taken from a new GS LC, less than 50 miles and still got the pimples on. Just sold the 1190 and changed to a 990 SMT.

Fair enough - but was hoping for a rider's opinion of the preference of the SMT (I owned a 950SMR which was superb for commuting and hooning, but not economical)

I have some that have done, I think, around 1000 miles as original tires on my GSA. If you can wait for ten days for me to return home you can have them for £100 plus p&p.

Supposed to have been having a front Anakee fitted this Saturday, still no stock:blast

Got to decide what to do as off to France on 10th September

T/Doom,
Marshall's BMW Grimsby, will have a brand new set of Anakee 3's when they are removed from my brand new T/Black before I collect it. I've asked them to fit new PR4's before I take ownership.

My new Bike should arrive any from Germany any day this week, so ring Marshalls and ask for Dean in bike sales or Adrian in Service if you want to be 1st in the queue. :thumb2

Unfortunately they won't send them out:blast

Would you risk using this front tyre for a 1500 mile trip to Brittany it's done 8500 miles so far and is about 1mm off the tread marker??
