One…… they would have sold ONE more… to you!Now imagine how many they would sell if the tank had been 4 liters bigger and if there was a real taillight instead of the stupid looking Harley blinkers...LOL Saw a triple-black one and it looked good...Top speed with bags wobble test following soon...Resistance is futile...LOL
Probably due in part to the £20k plus cost of the large capacity adventure bikes now coupled with the increase in interest rates for those who buy on PCPs putting up.the cost of ownership. The mighty GS will still no doubt carry on it's dominance amongst the must haves and well heeled but people like myself are voting with their feet, maybe that's just part of a natural transitionit's no surprise that the 750-1000cc sector is doing well with so many good bikes launched recently
Why is the GS selling so well?
'Adventure bikes' have now become touring bikes. People buying bikes over 1000cc are of an increasingly ageing demographic.
So buyers of these big capacity bikes are sometimes better off financially, have different needs from their bikes, like premium brands and can no longer deal with the riding position of sports bikes.
That's why.
The boring repetitive Muppet that is BL needs to realise that envy is not a good look. If only he could afford one then the world would be a better place, well this forum would be anyway. He should have paid more attention at school then he would have got a better paid job. Back to your dingy bedsit Boxer where you can shout at the passing traffic, whilst everyone else enjoys a fantastic 5 star motorcycle. One…… they would have sold ONE more… to you!
Not everyone wants what you want personally in a bike.
You are not the benchmark that BMW we’re aiming for when the bike was being designed….believe it or not, the world does not revolve around Boxerlust……get over it!

Wouldn't your knees be under your armpits?I’d sooner part with my money on a new R12 Nine T. To me it has more to it in the way that it has less…
Perhaps, but that’s not the point.Wouldn't your knees be under your armpits?![]()

You would need to buy a Piss Pot , flying Jacket and Brown Boots and a pipe .... well at least it has a 17 in front wheelYou will not see me buying a 1300 GS . It has the looks about it, that not even a mother could love nor forgive herself for. Vile looking glitzy thing, with suicidal taillights. I’d sooner part with my money on a new R12 Nine T. To me it has more to it in the way that it has less…

My 1250RS SE I finally took delivery of in December with a few extras was cheaper than my 1250GS TE Exclusive when I bought that in March 2020 so to me anyway it seemed "good value" especially when compared to the new 1300GS, but it still wasn't "cheap". All manufacturers seem to be putting their prices up with the middleweight ADV bikes costing up to 15k now so I can see more downsizing in the future if this trend of ever increasing prices continuesBut yes, any boxer bike is not great value now. If I change the R1200RS I will be looking at one of the great sub 900cc bikes than can be bought for half the prprice.
TA for that bit of advice. You would need to buy a Piss Pot , flying Jacket and Brown Boots and a pipe .... well at least it has a 17 in front wheel![]()
