Hi

The right cylinder on my GS Basic is ticking.
I adjusted the valve clearance and rocker arms end float.

Still ticking... :nenau

what else can be the reason??:blast
can a lightly worn push rod tip make this noise?

thanks

Nir

This could be serious.. You should WATCH this carefully, It might be TIME to CLOCK off. :blast
Now if you could get the other side to do a tocking noise it could be very interesting to hear you comming down the road
They always say that these old airheads run like clockwork,

images of push rod and rocker arm

I rechecked the push rod and rocker arm and found signs on them,
does the indicate something?

It looks like the inner pushrod guide in the heads have lifted a little to catch the pushrods like that. You should be able to knock them in again if you have a pushrod tube drift.

Pitted rocker arm faces

Are the usual cause for ticking in the heads, like misadjusted valves do. It's not that grave. Unfortunately you can't grind it down, as the face of the rocker is surface (was :)) hardened, and grinding it will help for 10 minutes only.
From experience.

Miky, also from the Holyland
