Hi guys residing in sunny Lincolshire, hopefully acquiring a GS Adventure in the coming week, we Tour regularly and want the fully kitted, options.
Have looked at Vario luggage as apposed to standard (more space and passenger comfort) would appreciate any advice.
Have Garmin Nav 4 so putting cradle on to fit wirh my Autocomm system.
I am 6' 4" so any advice on screens and protection would be greatly appreaciated
also.

Thanks

I went for the ally luggage as i prefer the top loading and being able to pile more essential crap :D on top by using the tie downs.I have the oe BMW as I got them foc as part of the deal :JB altough the dealer would have made it back somewhere else :blast
I have added the touratech screen extender to mine and it pushes the air over the top of my lid so 90mph visor up cruising is ok i am 6 ft.

+1 for metal luggage and touratech screen extension on a GSA.

+1 on the Touratech screen extension(i'm 6' 4") Although now have a Desierto 3 fairing instead just for something a wee bit different.

Alloy toploaders aswell although i changed from the GSA alloy panniers to Touratech Zega Pro's!:thumb

If the BMW ones weren't free I would have probably gone with different ally ones there are a lot of good options out there.

Go for the BMW Aluminium ones, they protect both YOU and your PILLION if someone hits you a lot more then the varies, they stand more abuse WHEN you bike goes over, you can tie kit on top of them (make your own straps), they top load, your other half will feel safer as it makes the GSA like a SOFA, they hold shit loads more.

+ another one on the standard cases. Also, the varios have very thick walls so not as capacious as they look.

I have a Wunderlich screen which is virtually the same as this
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-R1200...923?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3a80a3dda3
Its better than the standard for turbulence around the top sides. Also consider the Wunderlich screen spoiler/extender as its adjustable. The TT version is fixed.

But if the main reason is touring, try the RT. Weather protection is better if not the style.

I use a Z-technik screen, makes a big difference. BMW alloy boxes, hold a shedload.

Thanks Guys

Many thanks for the feedback will update when its a go !!

Ride Safe
