******** i say ! early this year with only 1250 miles on a new Tolerance, bloody great nail buggers the rear tyre, first pumpture in 30,000 mile are well i thought untill yesterday just over 1700 mile, nail through the side wall another tyre shaged tell me is it just bad luck or is this brand of tyre ? that picks up more nails etc due to its tread pattern, any body else had the same problems or is worcestershire just infested with old nails all over the roads!

I've been riding for about 10 years. So far I've had 2 anni pneumaticus horriblis.

Once in Aug94-Aug95 when I had 2 VFR750 which had 3 punctures between them.

The last was more recent. Nail in newish Tourance, plugged successfully by BS approved repair. Later, same tyre, terminal puncture going around Nant-y-moch with a group from here.

Then, the replacement developed a slow puncture in the sidewall. This too has been repaired by a specialist (my tyre fitter had to send it away and there is a huge great vulcanized patch on the tyre wall).

Wessie forgets to say that at the time of the Nant-y-Moch trip his tyre was down to the canvas!!!!

Graham,

Guess you are just unlucky like me, my old R had 4 Rears on it in 2 Years with 11000 miles done . Ow......

3 punctures, 1 baldy. I did live on a new build however ,so maybe it was all the crap of the building site.

Do you run ultraseal in the tyres now ?

Just done over 2000 miles on me new GS so i reckon im just about ready to get a flattie.

:spin
